Abstract
This assignment was created for "German Music and Politics," an upper level undergraduate course at Dickinson College taught by professor of music Amy Lynn Wlodarski. It is cross-listed for the academic departments of music and German. In the music curriculum, this course is one choice among a cycle of required seminars targeting third-year students (juniors). The course is designed to engage students in historical and interdisciplinary music research, and to prepare them for writing a senior theses. The meeting place is a smart classroom with a seminar table. This course typically has between six and twelve students, and meets for seventy-five minutes twice a week.
