Abstract

An essay is presented on the transfer and transformation of writing pedagogies in mathematics course. Topics discussed include the writing across the curriculum (WAC)/writing in disciplines (WID) program, the need for mathematics teachers to transform writing pedagogies and its benefits, and the significance of transforming the writing revisions process. It also explores the role of teaching metacognition.
